| If you are on the edge of the coverage area, you can opt to have a Node setup at your house to extend the range of the network. These also act as Ethernet Converters, so you need nothing more to use the network. This option is suitable for Grade A, B and C coverage areas. More info... A node is a special range extender which repeats the signal from the main hotspot around your premises. A node will also help those living around you to recieve a signal, since the signal from the node will reach your neighbours. This also improves the coverage of the eeWifi(tm) network. Because of this we can offer a special discount on nodes, making them only £39.99. You can also use them in the same way as an Ethernet adaptor, by using an ethernet cable (Up to 25m long cable supplied to the length you require) to connect it to your computer, so you require nothing more than the node. However, since your neighbours may be relying on your Node to connect to the network, you must leave a node switched on at all times. A node has an extra high power transmitter and reciever, so the range in comparison to either a USB Stick or Laptop card is excellent. This option is suitable for Grade A, B, C and sometimes Grade D coverage areas. Visit our Postcode checker to find out what the grade of coverage is in your street. If you opt to have a node setup, your area will become Grade A coverage, so you can use this in conjunction with Wifi built into your computer, a USB stick or a laptop card to save you running wires. | If you cannot recieve a strong enough signal from your local hotspot to allow you to use a laptop card or USB stick, and do not wish have a node, you can instead have an Ethernet Converter, which has just the same range as a node, but only you can use. This option is suitable for Grade A, B and C coverage areas. More info... An Ethernet Converter can be located on a windowsill or similar, where you would recieve a better signal from your local hotspot, and the higher power will give you a stronger signal into the network. This is connected to your computer via an ethernet cable, and retail at £54.99. An ethernet cable is supplied, which is 1.5m long. The range of an Ethernet Converter is identical to that of a Node, it simply does not relay the signal around your house. Instead you must connect to it via Ethernet. This option is suitable for Grade A, B, C and sometimes Grade D coverage areas. However, since this does not repeat (unlike a Node), it will not benefit you using a laptop to connect to the network so you must use an ethernet cable connected to the converter to benefit from it. Visit our postcode checker to find out what the grade of coverage is in your area. Less info... |
